Zane State College is a two-year college offering both baccalaureate transfer programs and technical education programs. The associate of arts and associate of science degrees are designed for students who wish to complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree locally and then transfer to a four-year college or university. The technical programs provide students with the opportunity to earn an associate's degree in applied business or science while participating in experienced-based learning in their chosen field with the objective of employment (though program credits are accepted by many colleges and universities).
Located in Zanesville, a town of approximately 30,000 people and just 55 miles east of Columbus, the college shares a beautiful 179-acre campus with Ohio University- Zanesville. In addition, the campus features a 125-acre land laboratory and new engineering technology center. Zane State College also features a training center in Cambridge. Programs offered in this setting are designed to provide broad-based competencies and include an approved distribution of general, basic, and technical courses. Each of the associate degree programs at Zane State College can be completed in a two-year period; however, many students attend on a part-time basis and complete the programs at their own pace.
