A public hearing will be held by the Ohio Department of Higher Education on Tuesday, January 4th at 3:00 P.M. via WebEx at the following link. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public comment on the following rule:

  • Rule 3333-1-65.14 Student eligibility requirements

My question relates to 3333-1-65.14, letter c for CCP Student Eligiblity Requirements: "has a cumulative unweighted high school grade point average of at least 2.75 but less than 3.00 and received an “A” or “B” grade in a relevant high school course."

If a student with at least a 2.75 cumulative unweighted GPA completes multiple "relevant" courses, does the A or B grade in one "relevant" course need to be from the most recent grading period or academic/school year? Will the state consider defining or establishing that parameter.
