Chancellor Carey to Discuss Mid-Biennium Review, Regional Grant Award at University of Toledo Scott Park Campus

Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor John Carey; Northwest State President Thomas Stuckey; Terra State President Jerome Webster; University of Toledo President Sharon Gaber; Northwest State Vice President for Innovation Todd Hernandez; Automatic Feed Vice President of Manufacturing Peter Beck; students and educational and business organization partners.

University officials will showcase the new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center amid remarks from Department of Higher Education Chancellor John Carey. Carey will highlight industry collaborations and new initiatives within the Mid-Biennium Review designed to provide access to affordable college and vocational education.

In addition, university leaders and industry participants will outline the benefits of Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills (RAPIDS). The Department of Higher Education has distributed $5 million in RAPIDS grands in the past five months; $1 million was invested to provide mobile training units for the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center.
