Chancellor Kicks Off 2014 Ohio Trustees Conference Today at Columbus State Community College

What:

Annual meeting of the University System of Ohio Trustees. This year the Ohio Board of Regents has partnered with the Association of Governing Boards (AGB), the Inter-University Council of Ohio, and the Ohio Association of Community Colleges to develop the conference. The two-day conference kicks off at 2 p.m. today (November 17th) with pre-conference sessions geared toward trustees in the first three years of their tenure. A panel consisting of representatives from the Auditor of State’s Office, the Office of the Attorney General, and the AGB will discuss the latest issues affecting the fiduciary responsibilities of trustees. A second panel of experienced trustees will engage in an interactive conversation with conference participants regarding things they wish they would have known when beginning their tenure as a trustee. Panel members will offer guidance on how to quickly and efficiently maximize trustee effectiveness. The full Trustees Conference begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday (November 18th).
