Campus professionals from 78 colleges and universities across Ohio will attend the summit, which will feature leading national prevention and response experts assisting with Ohio’s Changing Campus Culture initiative. The Summit is geared toward Title IX coordinators and other campus professionals who lead efforts to improve prevention of and response to incidents of campus sexual violence.
The summit will engage and train campus professionals in prevention and safety procedures critical to the success of Ohio’s Changing Campus Culture initiative. The day-long summit will feature presentations by national experts, including a 9 a.m. opening keynote by Dr. Chris Linder, faculty member and leading researcher at the University of Georgia; a 10:30 a.m. prevention keynote by David Lee, Prevention Services Director of the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault; and a 1:10 p.m. response keynote by Angela Fleischer, MSW, University of Southern Oregon, and a leading advocate for survivors of sexual violence. Dr. Michelle Johnston, President of the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College, and a leading voice for Ohio’s Changing Campus Culture initiative, will offer closing remarks at 3:45 p.m. The national keynote speakers will be available to talk with members of the media throughout the day.
