PLA with a Purpose Symposium - Launching Practical Steps to Engage Adult Learners

Tuesday, April 29, 2014 - 9:00am to 3:30pm

The Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43210

Ohio Board of Regents presents, Launching Practical Steps to Engage Adult Learners, a one-day prior learning assessment (PLA) symposium for administrators and faculty of public colleges and universities, leaders of adult career-technical centers, and representatives from the IUC, OACC and OACTS.  The symposium will introduce the next steps in OBR’s PLA with a Purpose initiative, which works collaboratively with Ohio’s colleges, universities and adult career-technical centers to promote promising practices for the assessment and purposeful connection of prior learning competencies to training and degree programs.  Through multiple breakout sessions and panel discussions with national and local experts, symposium participants will examine the recommendations produced by the initiative, identify priorities for implementation during the upcoming year, and explore practical ways to realize them.

Registration is now closed.
