Who we are:

  • Official voice of the faculty at all two-year colleges in Ohio
  • Established in 1996
  • Made up of representatives chosen by the faculty from each two-year college in Ohio
  • Meet 4 to 5 times per year at the offices of the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE)

 

What we do:

  • Provide the voice and perspective of the two-year faculty to the Chancellor and the Ohio Board of Regents on the relevant issues facing higher education
  • Provide a channel of communication to all two-year faculty
  • Provided faculty volunteers to serve on the following state-wide workgroup and committees:
    • Strategic Plan Workgroup
    • Funding and Subsidy Workgroup
    • Textbook Affordability Symposium
    • Performance Committee
    • Articulation & Transfer Panels
    • Gen. Ed. Conference
    • as well as others
  • Provide a mechanism for informational exchange among two-year faculty
  • Advance the cause of the two-year colleges within the ODHE and throughout the state
  • Discuss and exchange ideas on issues of higher education, particularly issues common to the two-year colleges
  • Compare and contrast curriculum and instruction allowing faculty to gain a broader point of view
  • Discuss and exchange ideas on issues related to teaching and learning
  • Provided a forum to discuss and share best practices
