Chancellor Carey to Speak at University of Toledo Research Vessel Dedication

Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor John Carey will join University of Toledo President Sharon Gaber at a dedication ceremony for the University of Toledo’s new 28-foot research vessel that will advance environmental research into water quality, harmful algal blooms, invasive species and other issues impacting the Great Lakes region. Chancellor Carey will provide remarks and also be available for questions regarding the higher education portions of the new state budget.

Chancellor Carey to Visit Bowling Green State University

Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor John Carey and State Senator Randy Gardner will meet with Bowling Green State University(BGSU) President Mary Ellen Mazey to discuss higher education items within the recently signed 2015 state budget and how those items impact and relate to BGSU programs. The visit will begin at BG Flight Center with remarks from Chancellor Carey and President Mazey, followed by a tour.

Chancellor to Address Marion Rotary Club, Visit OSU Marion Campus

Chancellor John Carey will provide members of the Marion Rotary Club with an overview of what’s happening in higher education in Ohio. Prior to the meeting, the Chancellor will visit the Ohio State Marion campus, where he will meet with the school’s dean and director, and other faculty and staff, and learn about the school’s connection to K-12 education. He also will receive updates on ongoing projects at the school and visit the campus’ engineering building to learn more about the engineering program.
