Chancellor to Address Marion Rotary Club, Visit OSU Marion Campus

Chancellor John Carey will provide members of the Marion Rotary Club with an overview of what’s happening in higher education in Ohio. Prior to the meeting, the Chancellor will visit the Ohio State Marion campus, where he will meet with the school’s dean and director, and other faculty and staff, and learn about the school’s connection to K-12 education. He also will receive updates on ongoing projects at the school and visit the campus’ engineering building to learn more about the engineering program.

Chancellor, Lt. Governor to Discuss Importance of Veterans’ Initiatives at Sinclair Community College


Chancellor John Carey will join Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor, Col. Tim Gorrell, and Sinclair President Steven Johnson to discuss employment and education initiatives signed into law by Governor John Kasich for veterans and active military members.



Board of Regents working to improve veteran access to higher education

A media event to outline new guidelines for University System of Ohio colleges and universities to support veterans, and to showcase the practices already in place at Ohio State.

The Ohio Board of Regents is working to implement a new state law that directs public colleges and universities to increase access to counseling, courses, and credit for veterans. Chancellor John Carey will tour Ohio State’s Veterans’ Lounge and discuss the new guidelines at 2:30 p.m. in the lounge, located in room 1132A, Smith Laboratory, 174 W. 18th Ave.
