What: The Ohio Board of Regents’ annual Trustees Conference will spotlight innovation in education and feature a special announcement by Gov. John Kasich and Dr. E. Gordon Gee about a new statewide higher education initiative. Also on the conference schedule are three discussion panels that highlight strategies for using innovative techniques and technology to enhance the higher education experience. The conference’s featured lunchtime speaker is Coursera Director of Course Operations Pang Wei Koh.

Chancellor John Carey visits Clark State Community College and Wright State University to address the recently signed budget its impact on higher education in Ohio. Board of Regents representatives will also learn about the latest happenings dealing with workforce development at the schools, including a new agriscience STEMM school at Clark State and services for veterans at Wright State.
Chancellor John Carey visits Lorain County Community College for a campus tour and media event that will highlight the higher education aspects of the state budget and showcase LCCC’s commercialization and workforce development efforts. Chancellor Cary will be joined by Lorain County Community College President Roy Church; Ohio Board of Regents Vice Chancellor Gary Cates; members of the Ohio Board of Regents; local business officials.
The Ohio Board of Regents and the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation will host a special reception/press event to announce the 2013 Woodrow Wilson Ohio Teaching Fellows. The announcement will be in the Atrium at the Ohio Statehouse on Tuesday, May 28th at 2 p.m.
