The Ohio Board of Regents Teacher Preparation and Assessment Subcommittee, a two-member advisory subcommittee, comprised of members of the Boards of Regents who advise and consult with the Chancellor on issues relative to teacher preparation and assessment.
The OARnet/OSC board serves as an advisory committee that conducts periodic reviews of programs and operations of Ohio’s Network Backbone and Supercomputer, ensuring that the management and operations support the state’s goals for all education, government and economic development in the state.
The Board of Regents-Chief Information Officer Advisory Board advises the Chancellor on OARnet’s development and direction of the integrated technology infrastructure needed to support to Board of Regents education and technology programs.
The Chancellor has established an efficiency advisory committee for the purpose of generating optimal efficiency plans for campuses, identifying shared services opportunities, and sharing best practices. The efficiency advisory committee shall also attempt to reduce the cost of textbooks and other education resource materials. Each state institution of higher education shall designate an employee to serve as its efficiency officer responsible for the evaluation and improvement of operational efficiencies on campus. Each efficiency officer shall serve on the efficiency advisory committee.
The nine member advisory board, under Chairmanship of the Chancellor, supports Ohio’s higher education community by cooperatively and cost-effectively acquiring, providing access to, and preserving an expanding array of print and digital scholarly resources.
The Ohio Board of Regents Inclusive Competitiveness Subcommittee, a three-member advisory subcommittee, comprised of members of the Boards of Regents who advise and consult with the Chancellor on issues relative to inclusive competitiveness.
The Condition Report Subcommittee will hold a special meeting for the purpose of receiving a briefing from Ohio Board of Regents staff on the status of the development of the Seventh Report on the conditions of Higher Education Pre-K to Jobs Higher Education’s Role in Developing Students for Careers. The subcommittee will also hear from invited guests that will discuss topics relevant to the report’s findings.
The Inclusive Competitiveness Subcommittee will hold a special meeting for the purpose of hearing from invited guests who will address the question of how Ohio can expand its economic innovation strategies to ensure that more minorities and other underrepresented populations are included in the state’s innovation economy. The subcommittee will also discuss plans for holding future regional meetings around the state to discuss this topic.
The Inclusive Competitiveness Subcommittee will hold a special meeting for the purpose of planning regional forums to explore the question of how to include more minorities in the innovation economy. The committee will explore possible forum locations, dates and meeting structure. The committee will also explore how the goals of the forum connect to existing work of the Ohio Board of Regents. The subcommittee will also discuss the establishment of regular subcommittee meeting dates.
