COLUMBUS, OH; Oct. 25, 2012 – Chancellor Jim Petro today appointed Gwen Evans to serve as executive director of OhioLINK and placed the library consortium under the umbrella of the Ohio Technology Consortium (OH-TECH).
Petro had appointed Evans as interim director of the consortium of 88 Ohio colleges and university libraries in August, replacing John Magill. Magill had directed the consortium since his 2010 appointment and left the OhioLINK post in August to focus on workforce and economic development initiatives at the Ohio Board of Regents.
COLUMBUS, OH, Oct. 19, 2012 – Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor Jim Petro said the $500,000 Credit When It’s Due grant recently awarded to the Board by Lumina Foundation will “move the state closer to our degree attainment goals.”

The new website will connect Ohioans seeking education and jobs in the energy industry with specific job training and employment opportunities that meet their needs and interests.
COLUMBUS, OH, Sept. 20, 2012 – An advisory committee tasked with finding ways that Ohio’s public colleges and universities can share services, operate more efficiently and save money had its first meeting today.
COLUMBUS, OH – Sept. 12, 2012– An $11 million state investment will be made to award business and education partners that enhance learning opportunities for students in Ohio through co-ops and internships.
The investment is part of Governor John Kasich’s workforce development efforts to continue to align Ohio’s higher education curriculum with skills that are in demand by Ohio’s businesses.
