COLUMBUS, OH, May 30, 2012 – Recognizing the potential for eight million new jobs in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine (STEMM), the Ohio Board of Regents is awarding additional funding to 20 Ohio colleges and universities as part of the Choose Ohio First scholarship program.

Kasich today joined medical researchers from across the state in a video teleconference to discuss how the faster network speeds will help enhance innovation.

COLUMBUS, OH, Feb. 1, 2012 – Registration will close on February 5, 2012, for the Choose Ohio First website building contest. The contest is open to all Ohio college and high school students. Contestants will design and build a website for the url: www.ChooseOhioFirst.org.
Students are asked to design and build a website that will recruit talented Ohio students into STEMM fields. The website should encourage students to pursue a degree as part of the Choose Ohio First scholarship program.
COLUMBUS, OH, Jan. 26, 2012 – Chancellor Jim Petro in collaboration with Central State University today recommended development of more than a dozen strategies that would move the university toward greater achievement in retaining and graduating students who will live and work in Ohio.
