Transfer Talk Tuesday from the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network is a series of professional development webinars that provide information on transfer-related topics and initiatives. These talks will be 20 to 30 minutes with additional time for questions and discussion.

January 19th: 30 Years of OTM

Learn about how the Ohio Transfer Module began and its major milestones over the last 30 years.

 

 

February 16th: Mathematics Pathways

Join the Ohio Department of Education and the co-leads of Ohio Mathematics Initiative Subgroup 5 (subgroup on Secondary and Postsecondary Alignment) for an overview of mathematics pathways. This Transfer Talk Tuesday event will discuss what is happening currently in Ohio, and what we can expect to see coming soon.

March 16th: Credit When It's Due

Join us for an overview of Credit When It’s Due and how it is being successfully implemented on campuses in Ohio.

 

 

April 20th: What's Up With FAFSA?

This month we will be joined by Carlos Bing, ODHE's State Director of GEAR UP, to talk about important news and potential changes regarding the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), at both the state and federal levels.

September 15th: College COVID Strategies to Support Students

Representatives from 3 institutions will share how they adapted to provide student services, such as orientation and advising, during the pandemic.

 

October 20th: National Transfer Student Week Edition

Hear how various institutions will be celebrating National Transfer Student Week despite being distanced by COVID-19.

 

November 17th: 4 C's of CCP

Larissa Harper, Director of College Credit Plus, will do a Transfer Talk Takeover and cover everything you need to know about College Credit Plus for transfer students.

June 9th: Back to Basics

“Back to Basics” will provide a brief overview of the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network and its initiatives. This is a great crash course for those who are new to credit transfer in Ohio or a good refresher of the basics for more seasoned transfer professionals.

June 23rd: Tackling Transfer Demographics

Exploring the new, interactive Transfer Demographics Profile and answering Frequently Asked Questions with regard to its naviagtion, usage, and application.

 

 

July 7th: Military Minutes

This Transfer Talk will discuss what military transfer assurance guides (MTAGs) are and how they work.  It will also discuss other mechanisms for awarding credit based on military training, experience, and coursework.  An overview of policies pertaining to military credit will also be discussed as well as any new news and updates.

July 21st: Ohio Mathematics Initiative

Would you like to learn more about the Ohio Mathematics Initiative (OMI)?  This Transfer Talk Tuesday event will discuss the history and structure of the OMI, the work that has been accomplished, and how the OMI is involved in transfer initiatives.

 

August 4th: Technology Bytes

"Technology Bytes" will share updates and future developments to the Articulation and Transfer Clearinghouse (ATC).  We will also share future enhancements that we are working on across all of the Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network (OATN).

August 18th: 23 OGTPs, Now What? 

With 23 Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways (OGTP) in implementation, many administrators, staff, and faculty have questions about what comes next and how to manage OGTP at their institution. We will address a variety of these questions through a “choose-your-own-adventure” presentation that will ask attendees to direct the discussion based on their most pressing questions or concerns.
