Professional Development Opportunities

As part of this year’s OCTANE initiative, post-secondary faculty are invited to learn about opportunities for campuses to develop and deploy funded-professional development activities. During the CTAG discipline-specific submission workshops this fall, and during a scheduled webinar, guidelines and requirements for proposal submission will be made available.

Full information on requirements and guidelines for proposal submission, as well as deadlines and other important information can be found in this document.

Interested parties will also need the proposal submission template.

Workshop Registration

This year OCTANE will focus on CTAG discipline-specific course submission workshops as well as provide opportunities for campuses to develop and deploy funded-professional development activities. The areas of focus this year are as follows:

 

  • Early Childhood Education and Development
  •  Supply Chain Management Technology
  • Programming
  • Hospitality, Tourism, and Culinary Arts
  • Interactive Media and Visual Design and Imaging (combined)
  • Agriculture Pathway CTAGs (Agribusiness, Animal Science, Biotechnology, Food Science, Horticulture, and Natural Resource Management)

 

During these workshops faculty will learn more about career-technical education in Ohio, submit their CTAGs in the discipline, and have an opportunity to work with other faculty to discuss the development of a professional development activity.
